Great atmosphere, just a shame there was a family that couldn't control their kids , throwing cutlery through the whole meal. 3 meals ordered, wife ordered veg choice, cauliflower cheese, but veg was hard. Pub good enough to not charge for the meal. Fish and chips ordered but like most restaurants the fish had no taste, not sure why batters aren't well seasoned. Half chx which I had great value and came with a cream sauce which was lovely but again cauliflower rock hard

28th January 2026 We only ate in this establishment, we didn’t stay over. Wandering Wednesday this week took both Neil and I a little further afield to Mobberley in Knutsford, to a pub called The Roebuck Inn. The pub itself is older Worlde, with snug rooms which was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, it was very warm and cozy. The staff were very welcoming, our server today was a lady call Katie, who professional, friendly and very attentive.. service was impeccable. The food was out of this world and we both couldn’t have praised it anymore, cooked to perfection, presentation was flawless and everything was piping hot but the flavours were something else!! We have done Wandering Wednesday for 2 years now and this establishment has to be the best one yet.. massive compliments to the Chefs for your delicious cuisines and to Katie for making our afternoon special. Starters: Neil had Crispy haddock tacos, sriracha aioli, avocado purée, shredded carrot and spring onions. I had Crispy Korean barbecue chicken, with toasted sesame seeds and chives. Entrée’s Neil had: Butter roasted Monk fish tail, smoked chorizo and butter bean cassoulet on a bed of wilted kale. I had: Good ole Battered Haddock, chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce.. with a side of bread and butter. The chips had a crisp coating on them and the batter on the haddock was so light, crispy and remained like that up until the last bite I’ve had some fish and chips on this food journey and these are the best I’ve EVER had.. 100% Also a side of onion rings to share. This place is not to be missed, well worth the journey out, which only took us half an hour. Will we be back to this gem??? 100% IN A FLASH!!! Service: 5
