Shown to our booth. Sat down then realised seat was wet went through to my trousers, told staff who said oh yeah think the previous person dropped bottle water , no offer of another seat which was were available 50 minute wait for food. Soup was nice but lukewarm as was the bang bang cauliflower. Staff were nice tho. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

We visited Room in Largs and ate in the bar area because we had our dog with us. The food was okay, and I can't fault the service – the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Unfortunately, the atmosphere really let the place down. It was extremely loud and rowdy, yet despite it being a Saturday, there wasn't a single person dining in the restaurant section. That probably says a lot about the atmosphere. It made it difficult to enjoy our meal. The toilets were also in a terrible state. The doors didn't even lock, and two of the three taps were broken. It reminded me of old school toilets and gave a very poor impression. This was our first visit and, sadly, it will also be our last. I noticed the property is up for sale, so hopefully a new owner can invest in it and turn it around because it has potential. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: £30–40
