Wish I can give a half star, it's so bad. Went this evening to roots hoping for a nice time with my husband but found the whole experience appalling. First, the food was poorly made and presented. The chicken burnt I can't even serve my visitors such chicken. The cuslaw has soured probably expired, we barely touched the food, it's so embarrassing. We felt ripped off by the poor standard but we had no energy for argument, so paid £41 and left. Please be aware roots is now under new ownership, don't be deceived by the previous ratings, that's old glory, don't be fooled by their decorations. It's a total disgrace cos they're our people and that's why it hurts more, as it doesn't represent our people. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Bad service, salty food. Arrived at the restaurant ar 17.15 for a pre booked event. The restaurant is aware of the number of guests, still no provision was made for serve. Food arriving about 40mins apart. Salty food and it was the customer that is serving the guest. Very poor service. Please use this feedback to do better . Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
