Originally went there for the Poker game - every Tuesday night at 8pm. But was running a tad late so also had some of their food. Kitchen open until 9pm. Their steak and caramalised onion baguette is delicious! . It came with these grear tasting, fat, straight cut chips & salad which finished things of quite nicely . Add a couple of pints of Spitfire to that, along with the friendly service - & a packet of pork scratchings - & it was a lovely evening . Price per person: £20–30

Rose Inn is the typical English pub. Small, with the bar in the centre of it and that odour that either you like it or you hate it. Food is great and the service as well, but the atmosphere might not be for everyone. A bit dated, it would look much better with a refurbishment.
