A regular here and one of my favourite Italian spots. The pizzas are super yumm, fresh, flavourful, and they even taste great the even next morning for breakfast The staff and owners are genuinely friendly and welcoming, which makes the place even better. Always good food, always good vibes. Highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Pizza and crust are excellent! Our service was great, and the gnocchi and salad were top notch. Prices weren't bad either. Would go back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

As a NW Calgary resident, I've been waiting anxiously to see a new restaurant open in this space. The previous restaurants there were somewhat lacking in my opinion. I visited Rosso Pepper in its opening week, with my GF and my daughter with me. I have to say, I could not have been more impressed. First off, the interior has been completely redone and is very posh and inviting. A complete departure from previous operations there. However the food quality is where Rosso Pepper shines brightest and let's you know unequivocally that everything in this space has changed. The food was outstanding! A bit of conversation and you'll find out the owner is from Italy, where his family has operated Italian restaurants for many years, and it really shows. I got the sense he is at least a second if not third generation restauranteur. I had the "loaded Italian" Pizza - it was amazing. Despite being stuffed, I found myself devouring the entire pizza, just to prolong the experience. Not since LDV closed down have I found a pizza anywhere close to this good. My GF had the Gnocchi - the pasta was great, the sauce, a savory indulgence that had her wondering if she might be able to talk the staff into selling her a container of sauce to take home - seriously not joking. The real test came from my daughter who has a wheelhouse of about 6 foods she'll consider eating. A pepperoni pizza was a stretch for her to order and it took some coaxing - but she raved the entire time about how she'd been missing out all her life after the first slice (I didn't have the heart to tell her that most pepperoni pizzas don't taste anything like this). She took some of her pizza home, and, the following day when I asked her if she wanted the rest of her pizza from last night, I received an emphatic "YES"! First time I can recall her ever actually requesting a leftover! Which she quickly devoured - and then asked to go back to Rosso the following night! That's about as glowing endorsement as can be given! The owner is a quiet, humble and charming man, who you can tell takes his business and his food quality very seriously. The staff was new as they had just opened, but were nonetheless competent and certainly very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be regular attendees at Rosso Pepper in the future! I should also mention that the prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality we encountered. Even their alcohol beverages were priced very reasonably. If you're looking for a new Italian restaurant or pizza bar with some class and style, I highly recommend you give Rosso Pepper a try. You'll be glad you did!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
