Pub looked very nice. Disappointed that there isn't a Lunch menu. (Notice 2 couples walked away possibly for that reason ) Not enough seating outside either. I know its early days, but with the weather as it is, more seating outside would be good. . Service was good though lacking in customer contact & conversation. The seating is obviously there as not to have customers sitting there very long. As wooden & very hard. Disappointed . Sorry Price per person: £40–50 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

My family and I visited today for lunch and definitely wasn’t disappointed. The pub is a working progress and still under going some reservation but that didn’t spoil the experience at all. We all started with the deep fried brie which was slightly over cooked and too be honest a little overpriced at £8.50 we thought, especially for one small piece of Brie but lovely all the same and the fig chutney complimented it perfectly. My main (chicken, leek and thyme pie with mash) was delicious as was my wives pork belly, in her words “faultless”. Our desserts were equally delicious, although the cheese cake was a little “soft” for my liking and almost runny. My only other criticism, other than the price of the Brie starter, was that my daughter wasn’t offered a kids menu on arrival and we had to ask for one, and our drinks order was mixed up but that’s just teething problems I’m sure. Oh and some of the songs playing had some swearing in which isn’t good when you have young children. All in all a nice relaxed atmosphere, good service and great food, a must try! Visited today (Saturday 5th July 2025) Had a sign outside pub closed. Disappointed as wasted our time driving to this pub, nothing on google maps and their own website had a 404 error.
