Great Indian food, just as good as to be found in big cities. And much cheaper. Nice service and BYB. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Dined in while on holiday. Table for 2 people. Loads people sat in left hand side while takeaway service also busy. One waiter. Right hand side of restaurant 3 tables joined together still piled high with lager cans not even cleaned away. Told us to sit facing the mess. Only table available. Didn't ask if we wanted to wait. Told us it was cash only, yet let a customer pay card. Challenged the waiter and said ooh you have got a card machine then. Trying to dodge the tax. He came running over and said ok ok no problem. Have to take own beer by this point he told me before to withdrawn cash from the coop and get drinks there. Waiter running around all over on his own trying to sort takeaway customers and restaurant customers. Diabolical. My daughter has autism and she was nervous at the way he went on. Not to be trusted with asking us to pay cash when can pay card. Owner wasn't in apparently that night as some regular customers told us and said she had never seen table covered uncleaned and piled high with fishes and empty cans before. Ordered food. Asked for side of aloo gobu with main course. He brought it out from kitchen with starters, advised no good wanted it with main course. Thali came with the sag aloo. Chicken like rubber. Sauce and aloo gobi nice. Mixed starter ok too. When asked for the bill charged us £8.95 for sag aloo when should have been £3.95 for side dish of sag aloo. Again advised him price was wrong. Said I asked for main. Advised I didn't and asked for side dish to be served with main course. Deducted off meal by £5. Again not to be trusted. Absolutely gobsmacked as was my daughter. Never ever go back again. Shame as tried it as away for a long weekend away. Very disappointed. Go if you want ripping off and asked to pay cash only. And place with food plates and cans all over. Lack of service Price per person: £30–40 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We live locally and Settle Spice is our preferred restaurant here. It's very easy to find in the market square. The food is excellent with such a wide ranging menu and reasonably priced. No alcohol is provided so do take your own and glasses are provided. This also makes the bill very reasonable! The service is efficient and friendly. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: The waiter is happy to advise on vegetarian and other options
