We tried Ruby House for the first time the other day & it did not dissapoint. We ordered a few standard meals as well as a few that were new to us and all of them were delicious. We are a family of 4 and what we ordered could have fed a 5th person. But leftovers are a good thing . Chicken Wings - Chilli & Salt. These were a lovely dry style wing, lots of flavour and genuinely spicy. A little on the hot side for my wife but myself & my son loved them. Spare Ribs - Barbeque. Just delicious. A real highlight. Juicy, Tender, Sweet, fell off the bone, loads of meat. There were fights over the last one. Hong Kong Chop Kam. This was new to us, not something i would normally order but so glad we did. It was my personal fave. Great mix of meats & Veg. The sauce was delicious, garlic & Chilli, what's not to like? Beef in Peking Sauce Another dish i wouldn't usually go for but this was my sons choice and was his favourite. Jucy tender beef, wonderful rich sauce. Definitely give this a go you won't regret it. Chicken Chow Mein Absolute staple for our Chinese orders & Ruby House make a great one. This was very popular and was the first carton to be empty. It was my Daughters favourite & she wants this every time from now on lol. Tender chicken, smokey flavour filled noodles, we all know what a chicken Chow Mein is & this one was elete. Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls Descent batter, crunchy yet fluffy. Not too big which I preferred, sometimes they can be as big as a scotch egg but these were more manageable - a two biter. Chicken was soft, not over cooked. Sauce was great, not too runny, lots of flavour - another very popular dish with us & no leftovers . Egg Fried Rice Big portion. A bulging tub. Lovey rice, not much more I can say about egg fried rice except very delicious. Prawn Crackers 2x bags full. Crisp. Descent flavour and these kept well till the next day (wrapped up in a bag). Tasted just as good when I took them to work for a snack. Yummy. All in all 5*. Definitely making this our regular Chinese from now on. I ordered in the shop & waited. A quick scroll on socials and before I knew it, it was ready. Great service. I can't comment on delivery. Value wise the order was around £46. Which I think is good value. It fed 4 hungry people and could easily have fed a fifth. Can't grumble at that, especially when it tastes this good! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Takeaway Price per person: £40–50

Previous reviews state best chinese in Hucknall so though we would give it a try, wish I never did now, lucky getting 1 star and that was for just the chips being ok, rest very dismal.
Pork balls had hard batter with dry meat inside ?cooked previous day, chicken chop suey very bland no taste at all, chicken chow mein (large portion) very little chicken inside noodles topped up with beansprouts and as for the chicken curry it was like a thick paste you could stand a fork up in it, ended up throwing most of it away!
