We went in there to have our dinner and did expect to get good food, but didn't expect to get exceptional food that tastes absolutely like home! We ordered Mushroom pepper fry, Gobi 65, Lychee rose juice, noodles and veg biryani and must say all of them tasted absolutely like in India. There is a big problem with Indian restaurants in the UK where they actually prepare food in Bengali way. This one, is truly authentic and tastes extremely good. If you are in and around Shirley or Solihull, Ruchie must be on your list !! Will come back here for sure! Our first taste of South Indian food in Birmingham was a big let down. Sambhar Vada was rock hard and we had to send it back to the kitchen. The dosa that followed was comparatively better but nothing to write home about. Either some trainee was hacking it in the kitchen or the chef was having an off day. The manager offered a free dessert which was nice of him but that could not compensate the earlier experience. Absolutely Outstanding! Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in the UK so far. Every dish was packed with authentic flavour, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. You can genuinely taste the freshness, quality, and passion in every bite. From the warm hospitality to the incredible food, the whole experience was unforgettable.
