Great service the staff was orderly and timing was great I attended a wedding the surrounding was great dining was excellent the only thing was at a certain time without the sun glaring in it became really chilly that made me and others become uncomfortable I have to shout out for the usher/toaster? His voice was stern and assertive and he made the running of the wedding go as planned. One thing why I gave 3 stars make sure to hoover around the windows there was a lot of dead flies and that's not appetising whilst eating but overall fantastic venue. Service: 5

Me and some family went to lunch here today, it's a beautiful place and all of the waiting staff were lovely. Sadly the food and following experience was not good. I'm vegan and told them ahead of time. They offered a celeriac roast with the usual trimmings. The portion was very small, I had less vegetables than everyone on my table, what was an expensive slab of beef on other plates was a very thin square of celeriac and an undercooked half an oyster mushroom. There was probably about 400 calories on my plate for £27.50 and it wasn't very tasty either. I pointed these things out, a manager got called in. She quite combatively stood her ground, effectively said that this place wasn't for vegans, and that I was lucky because I had been given potatoes when that wasn't typical (the potatoes were about half my measly plate!). We ended up not paying for that plate but all of us were not feeling good throughout this and thought it was dealt with poorly. Won't be coming back and really don't go for good food! Mine was bad and everyone's food was ok-good but not worth the money. Stick to a wander about and a cup of tea :)
