I had a booking and arrived on time to be told that the restaurant was shut as the chef had called in sick. No prior warning even though they had my phone number. I travelled all the way there to be told it was shut and they had no reason for not warning in advance

Highly recommend this amazing new culinary addition to Kingussie! Davey goes above & beyond and made our experience of Ruthvens Kitchen truly exceptional. The food was delicious & the service provided impeccable. We dined on the most amazing Burns Supper, with every course being flavoursome & a true testament to Davey’s skills as a chef. To make it even more special Davey exceeded expectations by kindly organising the 3 course meal as a takeaway due to circumstances outwith our control. Every bit of it was amazing. THANK YOU Davey!! We’ll definitely be back! Hopefully in person next time but the fact you offer takeaway too is just fantastic!!!
