This place is a gem, and the food is always delicious! My favorite is the pulled beef sandwich, and I think they have the best hummus in Hamilton. Honestly, all the food I’ve tried here is delicious, including the coffee. The staff is very friendly, so I definitely recommend it. LOVED this place. Met a Hamiltonian who introduced us to this place, incredible brunch (our group had the shashoushka, dips with fresh bread, breakfast bagel sandwich and an INCREDIBLE croissant as well as saffron oat latte and hibiscus whisky sour). We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food while we caught up. I can't wait to visit again. THANKS!

We visited Synonym for lunch today and had a really pleasant experience overall. We had made an online reservation for 1 hour, but I had emailed in advance to request extending it to 2 hours—and they were kind enough to accommodate that without any hassle. That flexibility set a great tone right from the start. The space itself is cozy and intimate, with small tables for two. It does get a bit tight once the food arrives, but the staff were attentive and thoughtfully added an extra table for us when they saw we needed more space—much appreciated. For food, we tried the pulled beef sandwich and the smoked salmon sandwich—both were excellent. Very well done, flavorful, and satisfying. On the other hand, the add-ons (salad and vegetables) felt a bit underwhelming for the price ($5 and $4). They were quite simple and didn’t quite match the quality or value of the main dishes. One thing I really liked was the ordering system—everything is done via a QR code at the table. You can browse, order, and pay directly through your phone, which makes the whole experience smooth and efficient. Overall, a great spot for a relaxed lunch with good food and thoughtful service.
