Great vegan place. The poached "eggs" are great and the cake/ brownie incredible. Although the kitchen was down one cook we did not have to wait too long for our food. Staff was very friendly. The place was packed so a reservation is highly recommended. We sat inside, but we would choose an outside table the next time, as it has a bit more flair and would have been easier with the dogs as there is a bit more space. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £20–30

Used to come here all the time when I lived locally, now it's a special stop every time I visit Exeter. Everyone loves it here! Had to write my first ever google review for them. Their menus change seasonally, and every new creation showcases their wonderful flavours and attention to detail. I've had many dishes here over the years, loved them all, but this weekend tried the gravlax waffles and the rhubarb and custard waffles. I think these have just changed for their new summer menu, but I'm sure the options starting this week will be amazing too. Both waffles were delicious, and the staff are always so friendly. We’ve eaten at Sacred Grounds twice now and both experiences have been exceptional. I have a preservative intolerance, which can make eating out incredibly difficult, it often means asking endless questions about ingredients and feeling like a burden! The team here were not only knowledgeable, but genuinely accommodating and kind. Nothing felt like too much trouble. Because so much of their food is homemade and freshly prepared, they actually know what goes into their dishes, which makes a huge difference for anyone with dietary sensitivities. And beyond that? The food was absolutely delicious! It’s rare to find somewhere that combines care, transparency and flavour so well. A real gem. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
