Really really bad customer service the guy literally did not ask for any allergies as they normally should and gave me these awful fried rice with things i am allergic to, the other dish was also really bad saag paneer, when asked for a replacement he gave me steamed rice when i asked for vegetable rice and was very rude to me, woulnt recommend it, really awful service and food. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We've ordered twice take away and twice they have messed up the order. The first time we can handle a mistake and they rectified it immediately and dropped off the missing food from the order, after some intense words over the phone. The 2nd time, they knew what was missing straight away. They also sent the sauces for the popadoms and no popadoms. I'm unsure what was going through their thoughts. Food is ok but service is incompetent for a take away. We will not be ordering Takeaway. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

I visited Saffron on a Tuesday evening with high hopes after reading some positive reviews, but I left feeling very disappointed. The food is marketed as Indian, but it lacked the authentic flavours and spices that define true Indian cuisine. Having travelled extensively across India and experienced a wide range of Indian dishes both there and around the world—including in London, where some of the best Indian restaurants can be found—I can confidently say that this meal fell far short of expectations. The dishes lacked depth, spice, and the rich, aromatic qualities that make Indian food so special. Instead, it felt like a mass-produced meal with little care or authenticity. I understand that some restaurants may tone down flavours to cater to a wider audience, but that’s no excuse for serving food that feels uninspired. It genuinely seemed as though the chef had just thrown a few ingredients together without passion or attention to detail. I didn’t even bother taking many photos of the other dishes we ordered because, frankly, there was no point. If you’re looking for real Indian food that delivers on flavour and authenticity, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
