I was at Sagano for the second time a few weeks ago and unfortunately I have to give it a 1-star rating, although the food and service were generally okay, as was the ambience. (As far as the price/performance ratio is concerned, there are many (sometimes significantly) more attractive sushi restaurants - but of course not on Ku-Damm ;-) The reason for only one star results from the fact that there are a few things wrong in terms of calculations and support. In terms of billing, the food consumed in the restaurant is all listed as “out-of-home consumption” - and accordingly only 7% VAT is shown on the bill. In this way, Sagano avoids the VAT increase from 7 to 19% that has been in effect since the beginning of 2024 for food consumed in the restaurant. How to report this behavior to the tax office? It's unclear to me what I want to explain (who believes that no one ever eats anything IN a restaurant...) - but that's not my problem either. What is my problem, however, is that I ate there as a business customer with a business partner - and can therefore now deduct €8.72 less from my tax than would have been the case with a reported 19% VAT! Sure, that's not the world, but (almost) €10 is ultimately money. What annoys me even more about the matter is that I haven't even received a response to 2 emails to Sagano (with reference to the problem/error - and the associated request for correction) - and that , although I pointed out in my 2nd email (i.e. my query, a good 2 weeks after my 1st email) that I would make the matter public here if I still received no response. To date (1 month after my inquiry) there has still been no response (and no email from Sagono has ended up in my spam!). In this sense: "Thank you very much" - for nothing.... Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €50–60 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
