I love this restaurant. The flavours feel authentic. Spice level is great (I like it hot). You can ask for green chilli in your naan (do it). And they are happy to advise if you want to try something new. Absolutely delicious! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes

This isn’t your typical British Indian restaurant menu — there’s a much more varied and authentic feel to the dishes, with flavours that really stand out from the usual curry house experience. Everything we tried was fresh, beautifully cooked and full of quality ingredients. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole afternoon even better. I’ve been to Salkaara a few times. I’m not usually a fan of this type of food (masalas, etc.), but this restaurant is different from other Indian places I’ve tried in the UK. The food simply tastes better, and it doesn’t have the feel of just another typical Indian restaurant. It’s definitely worth trying. Expect to spend around £20 per person.
