Most of the fish tasted off, especially the yellowtail. I understand it was imported from Japan, but serving fishy-tasting sashimi lukewarm and not over ice only doubled down the fishiness. The fishy smell carried on for hours in my mouth afterwards. The sushi rice was also slightly below average, too salty, no umami. The server/manager also came across as passive-aggressive. I touched my plate after it was put down to admire the shape, but he asked me to wait (passive aggressively) until he’d finished setting up the table, even though I wasn’t in his way at all. My partner felt put off by that comment as well. Speaking to customers that way degrades the overall experience. A simple “one moment pls” would’ve been kinder, instead of speaking whole sentences passive aggressively, like Iet me do this and then u may do that, when the customer isn’t even in the way to begin with. I normally tip in cash and leave them on the table, but at checkout he asked if I wanted to leave a tip, which caught us slightly off guard. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €80–90

We’ve always had excellent experiences at San. The food is outstanding - sashimi, nigiri, sushi, agadashi- everything. Service is immaculate. The dishes are carefully prepared and the sake recommendations have always been spot on. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €70–80
