I popped in for food and a nostalgia hit as it must have been about 18 years since I last ate at the Savoy having moved quite far away. Absolute nostalgia hit was right, the place is so beautifully retro and still absolutely spotless. I asked for some adjustments to my food to help manage a medical condition and was made to feel like it was no problem at all, they were happy to help me out, and I was being absolutely no bother at all. That's not true everywhere (as anyone with an intolerance will attest). The staff were really friendly and we had a good chat as I was ordering. I had ham and chips and the portion was generous. It wasn't expensive compared to everywhere else I've been recently, in fact it was cheaper than my usual chippies in mid wales and swansea, and I was fed for the whole day. It was proper ham too not that thin, floppy, and tasteless stuff. There is masses of seating so you're pretty much guaranteed a table and it has flat access from the street to a table so it's very mobility friendly! It might have been a nostalgia trip originally but I'll be heading back next time I'm in Llanelli as it was really good food! Wheelchair accessibility: There is flat access from the street to the table. Table service is available as well as counter service that is accessible by wheelchair.
