DO NOT EAT at the dinner buffet at Sawadee. Visiting Tropical Island was overall a wonderful experience, but the buffet was by far the biggest disappointment , and honestly felt like a mistake. The price is 30€ per person, and based on what’s offered, I would value it at maybe 15€. With that price tag, I expected quality, variety, and at least some creativity. Instead, the buffet was extremely limited, not very fresh, and felt cheaply put together. The main options were store-bought burger buns, hot dog bread, very dry flatbread, and fillings like basic burger patties or pulled pork (for vegans). There was also overcooked, tasteless rice with a bland vegetable sauce. The pasta was the worst: drowning in oil, overcooked beyond saving, and paired with a sweet tomato sauce, a true heartbreak for anyone who loves Italian food. The salad station felt like it was done on a budget, with very few options. And for 30€, I was shocked that there weren’t even fries or something simple like pizza to go with the burgers. Overall: overpriced, uninspired, and disappointing. It genuinely hurt to spend 30€ each for what was easily the worst buffet I’ve ever had.
