There is a bit of a wait for food to be served but if you come when it’s quiet, the atmosphere isn’t bad. I did feel as though the last time I went out of the others the quality fell slightly, although I would visit again and recommend. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £10–20

Scene Indian Street Kitchen - Bringing Indian food to life Thank you for the hospitality that I received when visiting your restaurant last Friday for a pre-theatre meal. Food and menu This restaurant has a diverse menu that caters for various diners including Chicken, Lamb, Vegetarian and Fish options. For Starters they offer sharing platters. The Veggie one includes Veggie Samosas, Onion Bhajis, Paneer and the Asian Potato cake. The Meat Sharing platter includes Chicken Tikka, Lamb and other specialities. There are also other tasty individual starters on offer such as Prawn Tikka, Calamari and the Chicken and Red Pepper Samosas to name a few. The Mains consists of favourite curry dishes including Chicken Korma, Tikka Masala, Jalfrezi and others. There are also a selection of Biryani dishes with either Lamb, Chicken or Prawn, If you are a fan of Burgers then they offer Chicken or Lamb burgers with a Samosa inside. If you a fan of the Mixed Grill then that is available too. If you are not a fan of Indian food then there are some pasta dishes included in the mix. Your meal can also include a range of sides including a selection of Rice, Naan Bread which includes Garlic, Cheese or Meat. Chips are also part of the side dishes too. The Dessert menu has a great variety of sweet treats from Chocolate Fondant, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Lemon Cheesecake, Biscoff Cheesecake and even a Chocolate Mousse. It caters for all with different levels of sweet lover in mind. The Vegetarian Platter was beautifully presented. The Vegetarian Samosas were delicious. Crispy buttery pastry on the outside and soft filling with peas and potatoes on the inside. The Paneer was crispy and cheesy in flavour. The Onion Bhajis were full of flavour and were crispy on the outside. The Potato Cake was soft, full of potato and melted in the mouth. The Calamari was tasty and sweet with a dash of honey on top. The Prawn Tikka was delicious, fresh and was tender to eat. For the Mains the Lamb and Chicken Curry was brilliant. It was full of flavour with nice spices. The combination of Meat and Chicken worked well together and it was tender. The Rice was flavoursome and complemented well with the fragrant Curry. The Garlic Naan was soft, had a great flavour of Garlic and was comforting to eat. The portions are great for sharing at Scene. The Dessert was beautiful. The Biscoff Cheesecake had a good biscuit base with a bit of a bite. The Caramel was delicious and sweet. The Cream went well with the Cheesecake as it cuts through the rich and indulgence of the Caramel. The addition of Strawberries added an elegant touch to the presentation and also added a refreshing feel to this heavenly sweet treat. They have a lovely small selection of Mocktails and my favourite is the Strawberry Dream. It is both punchy in flavour and sweet at the same time. Service The service was great. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and provided us with great recommendations on food and drink that were spot on. The food came pretty quick without waiting too long. Lighting and Access The lighting at this restaurant is OK but we sat near to the window which gave natural light. However, during the Winter the lighting is quite dim so people with a visual impairment may need assistance. Access to the restaurant is good as there are no steps to enter the building and everything is on one floor which helps. Parking Parking is available at Byron Street car park which is pay and display but it is free for Blue Badge holders. It is then just a short walk from there. Alternatively you can park at NCP Spinningfields. Pricing In general most of the food are reasonably priced apart from some of the dishes that are a bit pricey. Sharing the food however may help if you are trying to reduce costs. If you love Indian food within a great atmosphere then Scene Indian Street Kitchen is for you. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Vegetarian options: This restaurant has a great variety of vegetarian options from the Samosas and Onion Bhajis in the Starters. There are also some good vegetarian curries to choose from in the Mains section. Parking: Parking is available nearby either at the Byron Street Car Park which is pay and display. It is free for Blue Badge holders. Alternatively you can park at NCP Spinningfields and then walk to the restaurant.
