Yhe place is called Bath Fish and chips. The food is average. First place in England that we went to that you had to pay extra for tarter sauce and ketchup....how does fish and chip not include this. We ordered the scampi (very little scampi, mostly batter), haddock (not bad), cod (best option although the oil needs changing). Fries were underwhelming - not crisy. Apparently it's the best option in Bath but would get something else here. There was a small upstairs seating area that overlooked the garden which was nice and toilet was clean. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

It’s the worst experience I’m very disappointed I went there with my family as I recommended it to them as I tried it two years ago, while we arrived the prices where higher but I was like it will taste good then once payed we went upstairs to wait the manager brought the food and the receipt and I was shocked he added £6.40 for the service which he never explained when we payed before I went to ask and he said it is included and it’s 15% plus; I usually go to fancy restaurants and they added the service but once you don’t want it they take it off and for this small fast food he didn’t want to take it off plus the food was horrible oily skin, the fish was crumbling when I tried to eat it with the fork and had no taste I was embarrassed as I was telling my family the food is amazing there it was a pure scam for me this was the last time there !!! Price per person: £40–50 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

While I was in the UK, I was really excited to try authentic British fish and chips, and I came across this spot in Bath. The fish itself was good and nicely cooked, but the chips were a bit disappointing — too thick, quite dry, and lacking seasoning. On the positive side, the batter was really tasty, and the service was quick and efficient. Overall, not a bad experience, but it didn’t quite live up to the expectations I had for classic fish and chips. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
