The food is as good as it can get and a little bakery don’t expect 5 star cuisine so I’m happy in that aspect. The staff and owners needs to be better trained. I think they have failed basic math. I was charged double for a sandwich which I paid in cash, the sandwich is a total of $6.78, that disrespectful cashier was trying to explain that I was to be refunded 6.75 since we don’t use pennies (telling me as if I live under a rock) clearly she doesn’t know that 78 and 79 are rounded up to 80. A small difference, but I think it’s disrespectful to rob people regardless. Also, the waiter didn’t give us the option whether we wanted a mug or a to go cup and to our surprise if you want a mug, it is a dollar extra because it is more coffee (although they can just pour less? and logistically a paper cup is more than just washing a mug?) the bakery would rather rob people of an extra dollar (not a couple of cents like the cashier also tried to explain to me) instead of just measuring out their coffee better so that they’re not at a loss. I used to love this place, but I think they need a refresher on mathematics and common sense. THANKFULLY there’s a new Colombian bakery opening up the street so I’ll just be going there instead. Seara bakery is possibly one of the best places in north York for a baked good. Their bread is sweet and fluffy and always amazing to have. With their sweet treats always on display and cool, you’ll always have a variety of options to choose from. Sadly it seems like they’re under development of some kind because from the outside it looks like they’re doing construction work on the inside so that gave an underwhelming tone to the atmosphere. Overall lovely place to get some good quality food, but wouldn’t recommend to stay and eat if you’re looking to enjoy the atmosphere of the bakery.
