My husband took me there to celebrate my birthday. I really liked decor and atmosphere of this place. Dark walls, good music in the background make it calming and relaxing. Staff members were all happy, polite and very helpful. When we were giving our order my husband mentioned about that day being my birthday which the waitress noticed and organised the The Lion King song to be played when bringing my food. I got a little birthday candle in my steak which I thought was adorable. Overall food was delicious with big portions. The recommended wine complimented my meal perfectly. Great place for dining out

Staff were friendly as always but food quality has dropped enormously. Having been to Shebeen numerous times and it taking up the top spot for almost every birthday meal or big occasions, I was so looking really forward to it.Calamari were ok but not what it used to be. They weren't as crunchy and crispy but ok.Now, the rump steaks we got were beyond disappointing. The flavours were all there but I couldn't even chew the bloody thing! Not sure if there were supplier problems or just a bad day. I left some of mine which I never do.It hurts me to say this but will probably give it a miss next time I'm out for a steak.
