Excellent lunch. We had fish and chips here and were very impressed even though our home (near Grimsby) is spoiled for great chippies. The atmosphere was great and the service was lovely. We tried the food prior to booking it for a funeral buffet a week later, which was amazing. The staff are amazing and take great care of the customers and were pleased to help when I asked for extra items. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food and service was ok and seems fairly priced for the portions and service in the pub. When it comes to paying it was a different story. Bill was £12 more than expected due to the 2 for £25 menu offer not being honoured. Was given a explanation, because cod in the fish and chips had gone up we couldn't have that offer and I must of understood that if the owner had to change the menus all the time it would be a difficult job. I'm sorry but it's not my fault the price of fish or the fact he couldn't be bothered to update his menu. A little back and forth he did drop the price but I feel if it was a customer who was confident in speaking up they would just pay it which in my eyes is wrong. I normally leave a tip but I didn't on this occasion. Don't think I would be in a rush to go back. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1

Big thank you to all the staff at The Shireoaks Inn, for putting on a wonderful buffet for my Grandma’s Wake. Both food & Customer Service was top notch Would highly recommend
