I’ve been visiting this pub for 20 years. The food used to be great. A few months back I ordered two dozen chicken wings. The previous time that I ordered them, that was about $18; now it’s $28!!
About a month later, I went in for a burger. I decided to get the double burger and a pop. $30!!!
I decided to give it another go and ordered their steak sandwich with a garden salad and an extra side of yam fries. I asked if I could get the salad first, before the rest of the meal. It ended up all coming out at the same time. I politely stated my disappointment to the waitress and she got super defensive about it. “F’k!! Whatever!!” I thought.
It was supposed to be a 7 ounce steak on a piece of Texas garlic toast. That steak was no more than 4 ounces and tough as show leather. And the toast was just a regular slice of white bread, buttered and grilled and cut into two triangles.
The salad was supposed to be included with the $18 steak, and the fries were supposed to be an extra $1.50. I also had a pop. When I got the bill, it was $28! Upon review, I was being charged $6 for the fries. When I brought this up to the waitress, again, she got super defensive. I had had an exhausting day, and was in no mood to argue. I paid the tab and left. But that is the end of this pub for me. They are now just too darn expensive and not very good.
