I came here because they served me a fresh and flavourful Mbaazi meal a couple years ago. Their standards have since gone down; not only are the meals uninspired and dull, but the dour interior decor could use a brush up. This time my vegetarian Mbaazi meal of pigeon peas in coconut milk was tasteless and overcooked This place used to be so much better and it was a big let down for the three friends I brought for the experience. We were disappointed by the unsightly arrangement of a lamb with rice dish; some of the rice was yellowish and some was white while the lamb was hidden under the rice. It didn't look fresh and was unappealing. They didn't have any salad dressing either. Pull your socks up, Simba. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$30–40

Easily one of the best restaurants in Vancouver. Everything is excellent, fresh, and always hot. Recommend the lamb kebab, mogo, chicken surwa, jungle prawns, and Jeera chicken (huge portion). Many other great dishes but these are the go-to’s for us. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Wanting to support small business restaurants , my wife and I went hunting. We saw Simba's Grill next to the Starbucks at Boundry Rd and Canada Way. It was empty when we arrived just before 5pm. The waitress was extremely helpful in explaining the well stocked menu. This is an African restaurant. I ordered the roasted chicken dish with fries. My wife had the Green Curry chicken, which was mildly seasoned. My roasted chicken was very tasty. The fries had a bite to them. We also had a bowl.if rice. Tamarin sauce for the chicken made it so tasty. Nana bread for my wife's curry. We started with a Chai tea. One group of 3 came, ate and left during our stay. The tables were being set for a group of 30 about to come. The owner came to our table and explained the different sauces on our table. This was a great find for us. We will be coming back to try different dishes. We highly recommend Simba's Grill for dinner. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Plenty
