Don’t bother with this place . I booked a table for 10 for tonight at 7.30pm over a week ago . I have the call log proving the number of the Simla was called yet the restaurant were having non of it as there was no booking in the diary . The booking was made and I explained a female answered first then a male person took over and confirmed the booking . The Simla made no attempt to arrange any tables for our party of 10 and frankly very rude . I have the proof . Simla we will never try you again as your policy of just arguing with the customer may prove costly . Finally the young man at the restaurant was immature and unprofessional. Shocking really . Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £1–10

We ordered takeaway for our first sampling of Simla’s food. The Chicken Korai, Lamb Rogan Josh, Prawn Biryani & Saag Paneer were absolutely delicious and well-balanced in flavour. I had the Butter Lamb. It was too sweet for my liking, as it was very coconut milk forward. I am unfamiliar with the dish and don’t know what level of sweetness to expect. We also chose plain and spicy poppadoms plus Chicken Tikka, Mushroom Garlic and Peswari Naans, plus chicken-fried and Mushroom pilau rices for sides. The spicy poppadom, peswari naan, and mushroom rice were standouts. The bill came to a reasonable £55 total for the 4 of us. Will absolutely be ordering from Simla again!
