This place looks the business, and most reviews are convincing that it’s not bad for value. But in my experience since the dreaded COVID, everything has literally gone haywire, and restaurant are shutting at an alarming rate. Portions are shirking , and prices going crazy, that it’s cheaper to cook in your house, that line the restaurants pockets. I have noticed on a few complaints about small dishes being served, and chucked being one of the items. Surely with chicken being cheap, this isn’t a good review for your place. I certainly love the location, and hopefully if we decide to come and try, then itll worth our journey from dear auld Glasgow. Here hoping.

Lovely building and super smart interior. Great menu (including a super list of specials) but the choices we made were a little underwhelming in flavour but beautifully presented and very hot. It was pretty busy and sadly it didn't feel like we were made to feel particularly welcome. The whole experience felt very rushed and unfriendly. Dogs only welcome outside. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

The restaurant looks very cosy inside with a fireplace and a TV around it. The waitress was outstanding, and the food was exactly what I was looking for. We had our breakfast here. We were so pleased with the service. We were very impressed with the quality of the food and beverage we received. The restaurant also has a great ice cream selection and garden by the A77 which is open on a nice day. If you are passing by this beautiful town in Scotland, called Kirkoswald make sure that you have a drink and food here. I can highly recommend The Souter's Inn.
