Visiting the local area and found this pub via Google (not far from the Cromford attractions and Heage windmill). We chose the Spanker Inn to hold my father's wake and they did a brilliant job at a very reasonable price. We chose a buffet table and the food was excellent. The sandwiches were tasty and fresh, there was plenty of choice of things to go with them and the cheesecakes (four varieties!!) were delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Giving it 5* as only has a couple of pints but it was the best Moretti I’ve had. They clearly look after their pipes so I’ll be back. The landlord also came out to give our dog a few treats. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
