We (two couples) had our first visit to Spice on Saturday night. We recently moved to the area and had been meaning to try it on the recommendation of our son. We were not disappointed. It was quite busy and the car park is a bit tight, but that would definitely not put us off a return visit. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We had a lovely table upstairs, which is quieter than the busy downstairs area and more suited to us four aul curmudgeons, who like a good bleather . The food was as good as any Indian we’ve ever eaten and we’ve a lot of experience with Indian food. I can recommend the BangBang chicken starter, which has a good kick to it but a lovely flavour of herbs and spices. The Chicken Tikka Chilli Masala was simply brilliant. A beautiful rich sauce and the correct amount of tender succulent chicken. The flavours lasted in my mouth for hours afterwards, so it’s a meal which just keeps giving. We’ll definitely be back at Spice as I want to try their Lamb Rogan, which IMO is the litmus test for good Indian food. We’d all highly recommend Spice to anyone who likes good food.
