we found this gem by chance, as it was the only place opened in the area on our visit and we absolutely LOVED it! Firstly the portions were massive and as someone who is used to London prices, we were pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived The place was very clean and bright, but above all the service was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we even met the owner who told us that they’ve had the restaurant for over 40 years - so it was lovely knowing we were supporting a local, family run business. We can’t recommend this place enough!!! Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection

Firstly I'd like to say that the service was first class. My wife and i have the or6a2 genetic strain that makes coriander (dhania) taste like soap. I ordered a takeaway and specified no coriander. When i turned up to collect it the waiter said that there would be a delay because the chef had automatically added coriander but the waiter pointed out his mistake resulting in the entire dish having to be re-cooked. I was offered a free beer while i was waiting and another free beer to take home. The food portions were generous but the quality was very poor. The chicken in the biryani was so dry and stringy that i could not eat it and spat out my second mouthful. The rice was flavoured with chilli and nothing else. The vegetable curry that accompanied it was so greasy that i had to pour away the oil on top of it before i could eat it. We also had a butter chicken that was very sweet and a biryani rice that could only be described as boring. It was our first time trying this restaurant because many other restaurants have ignored our "no coriander" request. Spices were very good about the no coriander request but i just wish the food had been of better quality. Price per person: £10–20

Spices easily accommodated a 10 seated table with no problem. With fantastic service and huge variety of classic and unique Indian dishes. I and the whole table was really impressed with the food. The service was excellent with always someone to hand walking by or checking up on us. Our party went on a Thursday night and there were other tables too but the quantity of food was no problem!Being in the centre of Datchet, you can't miss the restaurant and if you haven't been then definitely try something mild and spicy in Spices Indian Cuisine Restaurant.
