I called into the Spotted Ox for a drink after visiting the Marston Moor battle field memorial. There is a good selection of draught beers including Timothy Taylors hand pulled cask conditioned real ale, which was in excellent condition on my visit. The pub is very popular for It's home made food. I didn't have anything to eat but the menu looked very inviting. The staff are very welcoming and the pub is dog friendly. I would like to come back to try the food. Price per person: £1–10 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: There are home cooked vegetarian options on the menu.

Really lovely pub!! dogs welcome nice pub grub nothing fancy but decent homely meal, really friendly calm atmosphere and a darts board to have a go on. Parking is a bit of an issue but parking on the street no one complained so seems the norm

We arrived here 5 mins before they shut the kitchen with 2 kids. It was no issue, food was great, tasty and filling. They even let us order desert late for the kids. Super welcoming. Lovely warm atmosphere. Friendly locals too. Good price range for food we had drinks too for 4 of us and think it was about £70ish Price per person: £70–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
