Absolute little jem of a place, the history shows a place on this spot since Before Christ. Tucked away in the village of Charlton,near Dunstable this quaint beamed public house and restaurant is the perfect spot for a spot of lunch, full dinner,special occasion meal, or just a lazy afternoon drink. The food is fantastic and served in a timely manner fitting to cooked to order. Customer service excellent. Price per person: £20–30 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section

Stopped here for a Sunday lunch without booking, the pub was busy and restaurant fully booked but plenty of lovely seating available in the bar. Greeted with a really warm welcome when ordering drinks from the bar by a lovely tattooed bearded bald chap who we remembered from our first visit a few months back because of his excellent character and customer service. The food was absolutely delicious, the roast Turkey dinner was exceptional as was the starters and desserts. Could not fault it at all. Also very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
