Very friendly host who knows the menu well and was able to provide suggested dishes! The rum punch is a MUST. The establishment is clean (including the washroom). Only hiccup were the presence of a few flies - maybe some tealight candles on tables... Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $20–30

If you haven't tried Guyanese style Chinese food, make your way over to Starlite Family Restaurant at Midland and Ellesmere in Scarborough. They've been around since 2013, offering delicious food with generous portions. I went there recently with friends and we really enjoyed everything. Here's what we had: • Starlite Chow Mein • Starlite Vegetables with Beef • Starlite General Tao Chicken • Jerk Chicken • Starlite Spicy Shrimp • Deep Fried Chicken • Stir-Fry Duck • Curry Chicken It was all delicious! My personal favourite, however, was the duck. I love duck! Other faves include Starlite Vegetables with Beef and Starlite General Tao Chicken. Besides the duck, everything else is Halal. I also had a very potent rum punch that was a bit too strong for my companions. It was definitely bold but good! The restaurant was spacious and the service was really good, with dishes coming out fast, and plates being cleared quickly. Drop in to try their food, or visit one of their sister restaurants, Caribbean Cabana (Markham), Hibiscus (Ajax), and Galaxy Event Space (Pickering).
