First time here. Waitress recommended Thai noodle salad. Was really good. Just the right amount of heat for my taste buds. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40

I will start by saying that the food and drinks tasted great, and our service did improve with the second server that we had. However, we were a bit disappointed in the service at State & Main when we visited for dinner as part of a bachelorette party this past Friday. We had made a reservation for 14 people well in advance. Upon arrival, our server took a long time to come to our table, an even longer time to take our drink order, and then would not take our food order as she stated that she was ending her shift. This resulted in about 45 minutes before we could order food, and getting our dinner after 8:30pm (with a 7:30 reservation). We were a hungry group! When the server changed over (this server took our food order right away), service did improve, and as mentioned above, food and drinks were great. I totally understand things taking awhile with a larger party, but considering we had made the reservation with a large party well in advance, it seemed like poor planning to send over a server if her shift was ending shortly and she did not intend on taking our food order. Overall, an okay dining experience.
