I booked a table for 4 adults & 2 toddlers, when we arrived there was 4 adults 2 toddlers and 4 month old twins (in one pram) the manager - Diane, stated that we should have booked for 8 not 6 as the twins needed space for the pram, she said that we couldn’t sit at the table we had booked as if someone was bringing food out at the table there’s a risk it could drop on the babies and it would scar them for life.
She then moved us to a bigger table which was fine, she could have just done that without being rude towards us and making snidy comments
We had to wait a long time for our food and we had to chase it twice before it came out. I ordered the New Yorker chicken (which I have had in many restaurants with no problem) when my food arrived the chips and onion rings were under cooked and the chicken was very rubbery (my partner had a mixed grill and had the same problem with his chicken). A server came to collect our plates and asked if the food was ok, I told him my issues with my food and he could see that I hadn’t eaten any of my food. He went and got Diane (the manager) she came over and I explain to her my issues & she stated that is how the food should be, and that they steam the chicken. There was no apology from her no offer for a refund nothing. So my partner wasted £10.29 on my meal that wasn’t eaten.
Just to add whilst we were waiting for our food a young child was away from her table and Diane told her to go and sit down and stated “where are your shoes, go tell mummy to put your shoes on”, that is not her place to say that to someone else’s child.
My overall experience of this restaurant is appalling and I shall not be returning there nor would I recommend this restaurant to anyone, it’s a shame as our children really enjoyed their time in the soft play before we went for food.
