The two staff members on duty are such wonderful young men. They always make sure the subs are well-filled, which is a real treat since some subways are quite stingy. I popped into the store today, and the younger one had a great laugh with me. I hope subway corporate reads about this! Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Last week, during the poor weather we’d been having, my walking stick gave a wee slip as I came in — just one of those things with the rain, especially at my age. A tall young lad working there noticed straight away and came over to help. He walked me to a chair and made sure I was settled properly. As it was quiet, he kindly took my order while I was seated and even made it himself, never expecting me to get back up. Another young man, with long hair, was just as considerate and offered me a glass of water while I rested. I really can’t speak highly enough of the two of them. A credit to themselves and to Helensburgh. We’d all be better off if more young folk showed the same kindness and thoughtfulness.
