It’s a beautiful place, nicely decorated! Unfortunately the food wasn’t as expected.. as a Italian food enthusiast, me and my (Italian) partner went here with high hopes, only to discover that almost everything we tried was a dish catered to British taste buds, and not so authentically Italian.. the arancini were frozen/not fresh, and the cheese on the pizza was way too strong.. the carbonara had CREAM in it, and the tiramisu was covered in chocolate sauce and we couldn’t taste any of the coffee. Now I’m not saying these things are illegal in food, but I would say they weren’t an authentic Italian taste, and my partner was purely shocked lol. Overall, it wasn’t horrifying, just a little disappointing - from people who love Italian food!! The price we paid was quite high too, so it just sadly left a sour taste. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

First visit. Lovely premises with staff who were very good. Between the 3 of us tried a wide variety of food on offer and it was all really good. 3 courses and drinks for 3 was £150 and was worth the money. Will be returning. Price per person: £100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure

I've been to Sul Lago Restaurant several times over the years. The food was excellent as always, but the service was a bit different. My daughter requested for a doggy bag to take out since she ordered a big meal, but she never got it and no one seemed to have an explanation.
