Excellent food. The short order cook is obviously a master at work. But the coffee... not so good. Which surprised us because the Sunset Grill in Mississauga had excellent coffee. Please get better coffee to this location forthwith.

Our Father’s Day breakfast at Sunset Grill turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had. We arrived at 12:15 p.m. and were told the dining room was full, so we agreed to sit on the patio. Our server took our drink order right away and returned with our drinks and menus. Less than five minutes later, she asked if we were ready to order. We needed a few more minutes, and when she returned shortly after, we placed a very simple order: a standard breakfast (eggs, sausage, and toast) and the cheesecake French toast(which is a joke of a option 2 pieces of bread 16$). We then waited over an hour before our server finally came back to tell us it would be another five minutes. Fifteen minutes later, our food finally arrived. By that point, our young child was frustrated and unsettled from the long wait, which completely ruined what was supposed to be our first Father’s Day breakfast outing as a family. To make matters worse, a table of approximately 15 people was seated behind us after we arrived, and all of their meals were severed minuets after we had received ours. It’s hard to understand how two simple breakfasts took longer than serving an entire large party. The cheesecake French toast was also very disappointing, especially for $16. It was essentially two slices of French toast with a small amount of cream cheese topping and four strawberries. It did not come close to justifying the price. Just as we had taken our last bite our server returned with the bill and payment machine (this was the quickest part of our visit). Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and not how we had hoped to spend our first Father’s Day breakfast as a family. Great place for breakfast! Welcoming and friendly staff. The food is always amazing! And never takes to long! They also do awesome with takeout to if you don’t feel like eating in! I will order breakfast for myself and the ladies at work and take it to port colborne and it’s still great! Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
