We went for Father's Day lunch. Lovely place, was seated in the raised garden out doors, it was shaded hence not hot. We were looked after by a lovely young man Louie. Had a feast of prawns fritters, scotch egg, delicious grilled asparagus, large grilled prawns. Patatas bravas - do request to have the tomato dip & mayo on the side as it is spicy and full of flavour. Once receing it, we were not keen when we saw the sauce being poured over the chips, which then overpowers the potatoes, something to remember for our next visit. Had delicious creamy ham & jamon crocketts, the jamon was strong in flovour. The sourdough bread was fresh & flavourful.

We’d previously had a really good experience here, so this visit was particularly disappointing. After being seated outside, no one came over to us. I eventually went inside to ask for menus and some water for our dog and was told by the manager, Tiana, that the waitress would bring them out. They never arrived, so my partner had to go back inside a second time to collect the menus himself. We were told there would be a slight wait for the paella, which was absolutely fine, but it ended up taking around an hour despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. When it finally arrived, the portion was extremely disappointing. It was advertised as a paella for two, but amounted to roughly one small side plate each. Throughout the meal, nobody came to check whether everything was okay or ask how our food was. At the start of the meall, a wasp flew into my partner’s 0% beer. Around two-thirds of the drink was still left. I politely asked whether it could be replaced, as it was no longer drinkable. A replacement half pint was brought over, but when the bill arrived, I noticed I’d been charged for it. When I politely queried the charge, Tiana said it wasn’t the restaurant’s fault that a wasp had landed in the drink. We completely agreed that it wasn’t anyone’s fault - these things happen, but we explained that replacing a contaminated drink free of charge is generally considered good customer service. We weren’t being rude or looking for something for nothing; we genuinely thought the charge had been added by mistake. The most disappointing part came as we were leaving, when we could clearly hear Tiana complaining about us to a colleague behind the bar, within earshot. That felt incredibly unprofessional and left a sour end to the evening. It’s a shame because the waitress who served us was friendly, the food itself was tasty, and we’d enjoyed previous visits. However, after spending around £75 on a soft drink, a 0% beer, a small paella and two small tapas dishes, we left feeling that the customer service fell well below the standard we’d previously experienced. Unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable meal was overshadowed by poor customer service, and we left very disappointed. Service: 1

We had tapas in the restaurant, it came very highly recommended but didn’t quite live up to that. But still very good and the staff/service are very very good. Great people, clearly a very well run venue, would definitely go back
