Swans Pub was a good experience overall. The focaccia bread starter was delicious, and the butter that came with it was absolutely amazing—easily one of the highlights of the meal. My only suggestion would be to serve the bread warm, as I think it would make an already great starter even better. I also ordered the Mediterranean pasta, which was excellent. The vegetables tasted fresh and high quality, not like pre-cut veggies that had been sitting around all day. The dish was flavorful, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. The food quality was impressive, and the service was friendly. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others. Price per person: CA$40–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Had a great evening in the Swan. Kate was great. Recommended a fabulous gin based cocktail for me, Queen Bee. Was very attentive throughout our visit. The food was great, incredibly tasty and a lovely atmosphere. Price per person: CA$40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food was good. Service was slow and inattentive. It wasn’t very busy. Server took 20+ minutes after bringing our initial drinks to come and take our order. Menus to the side, multiple nods/eye contact, but she kept doing other things. This caused the happy hour items to get run through as regular price as we were now a few minutes past the cut-off. Deliberate? Maybe, maybe not I decided not to bother with it when I discovered after I already paid. Food came out very quickly and was good. Server never came by again to check on us or ask if we wanted to order more. There are so many great options in the area so no need to come back. Daniel, I’m sorry your server was slow and that you missed happy hour pricing — that’s not the experience we aim for and I appreciate you telling us.
