I would be grateful if you could let me know, the exact date you dined at Sweetings, the details of your meal, what drinks you had and the exact amounts. I cannot believe I am writing this as it feels like I am offending an old friend. Sweetings is a City institution which was once beloved by myself and my colleagues. There was nothing better than a hearty fish pie served with their famous tankard of black velvet to end the week. On a recent visit it was abundantly clear that staff changes have rendered this establishment a far cry from its former self.....! All good things have to come to an end and without Beata and her colleagues this is now an overpriced relic. Best left to the tourists and die hard regulars. Service: 1 Price per person: £20–30
