Service was slow despite insisting on table service. Made us pay service charge as well despite this! Also charging £13.50 for a vodka lime soda (single) is criminal and automatically putting the most expensive vodka on the bill without asking what spirit you wanted to order is not on. Main waitress was really rude and made us wait 15 mins after leaving due to a missing payment which was a fault on their system we had all paid. The amount they were missing was in effect the service charge which they didn’t earn. Appreciate it was during a heat wave and a busy time but no excuse for the rudeness. Price per person: £20–30 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Good food! We ended up there by chance—we were hungry and just walked in—and we didn't regret it in the slightest. Properly prepared dishes made from high-quality ingredients, and an excellent wine selection. Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Booked a table outside this cafe I’ve visited - and loved - numerous times. It was 33 degrees, so my dining partner and I ordered charcuterie off the main menu, under the To Share section, a side of frites, two large bottles of water, two nonalcoholic beers and a cocktail. At which point we were reprimanded for not ordering full dining as we’d booked for food: I pointed out we’d ordered a main that was listed for two people, which was surely food. And we were told we were expected to order multiple courses: it was rude and a touch absurd. We had ordered food, we just didn’t want starters in the 33 degree heat. (And we weren’t going to hang around for desserts after being told off). I offered to leave, but they said no, stay. Then we were informed we couldn’t have the frites as they were part of the main menu, and that my booking with Open Table was being cancelled: I assume so I couldn’t leave this review there. We ate our food, finished our drinks and left. This is a lovely, well located, authentic tabac style cafe with solid good food, but only go if you want to have multiple course meals. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30
