Myself & my family recently stayed in the premier inn hotel behind this pub. Me & the wife had an evening meal upon arrival which was not bad (only a simple chicken Cobb salad ) we both noticed then that it seemed like they were short staffed. There were tables with used plates/glasses etc left on, food & other debris around on the floor. The table was sticky & grubby. It seemed to take quite a while to have the drinks order taken and then some time to get the drinks. As a family (6 of us) we had breakfast the next morning. Well it almost like it was the first time they’ve served breakfast..very little choice of hot food, some items not available at all. Little choice of cereals & fruit. Everything crammed into a space the size of an average dining room, literally couldn’t move with people trying to get what was available. Never experienced anything like it in 20+yrs of using premier inn hotels. I definitely wouldn’t recommend or use again. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: £60–70

The staff are really rude and miserable to Premiere Inn guests. The staff do not care that you’re on holiday enjoying yourself. It is not the Premiere Inn’s fault that changes are being made due to financial pressures of the company Whitbread. Thankfully the hotel will be breaking away from this disastrous and poorly ran restaurant soon. It is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and always for a week. The service was always good at the restaurant. There was no need to take their frustrations out on us. We are still a paying customer and expect a certain level of hospitality. It just ruined the beginning of each day. It also ruins it for the future of the restaurant when it gets taken over as we wouldn’t go there. Don’t waste your money! Service: 1 Meal type: Breakfast
