It's always exciting to discover a gem. I sought out Tadka with a craving for Biryani and I am leaving so fulfilled. I ordered the fish Pakora, Goat Biryani, and Bhindi dopiyaza. Complementary papadums arrive crisp and flavourful with three different chutneys - a great start. The fish pakora are satisfyingly crunchy on the outside and pillowy on the inside, though they could use a bit more salt. The bhindi is incredible - flavourful and balanced. The star of the show is the goat biryani. Granted there are many traditions of how biryani should be made - and restaurant Biryanis are often disappointing - but not here. The spices are fresh and present, unapologetically forward, with the heat pleasantly lifting over time. I really enjoyed this experience - so grateful - will come back with more people :). Delicious meal at Tadka - Sizzling Indian Spices in Toronto Service was 5/5 friendly and very professional Food: a def 5/5. Spent about $80 dollars and we ate for a day and a half. We ordered the meat player for 2 Overall highly recommended you guys try it out. My only suggestion, and it's totally on me. bring your glasses of you need em. The font on the menu is kinda small and difficult to read. But, again that could be just me. Still! Def check em out and to everyone celebrating Diwali. Hope you all had a great holiday.
