The burger with gluten free bun was good. I love that you guys try with gluten free options and try to no cross contaminate. It is hard to eat out as someone with celiac. The fries on the other hand, very brown, soft and floppy and tastes awful. Not sure if its a problem with the type of potato, the way you cook them or a dirty fryer. But those fries were the worst thing ever. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Takeaway Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options for celiacs

Giving Tailgate 2 stars because of how management handled a very simple situation. We came with our 7-year-old daughter, who ordered from the kids’ menu. The menu clearly states that the meal includes a drink and ice cream. When it was time for dessert, we were told they had run out of ice cream. Running out of something happens. The problem was how the restaurant handled it. We were told the ice cream was “complimentary” and that if we wanted dessert for our daughter, we could purchase something else. I don’t blame the server personally, as she was clearly communicating what she had been told. My issue is with management. If something advertised as part of a kids’ meal is unavailable, customers should be told before ordering, especially when a child is expecting it, or a reasonable substitute should be offered. Saying it is “complimentary” does not change the fact that it is advertised as included with the meal. The missing ice cream was a minor problem; the restaurant’s handling of it was the disappointing part. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

Tailgates Bar & Grill is one of the best locally owned sports bars in Welland and the Niagara Region. The food is always excellent—especially the wings, pizza, and Chicken Caesar wrap. What really sets Tailgates apart is its commitment to the community. As a locally owned and operated business, they proudly support local musicians, sports teams, and community events. It's great to see a business that not only serves amazing food but also gives back to the people who support them. If you're looking for a great meal, a fun atmosphere to catch the game, and a place that truly cares about the community, I highly recommend Ryan Nava's Tailgates!
