My wife & I stayed at The Talbot Inn on Sunday night 12th July. We had booked dinner for 6pm on Sunday evening for 8 of us, my wife & I, our 2 daughters, their husbands and our grandchildren. Our meals were excellent as was the service we received. It was my wife's birthday. After we had enjoyed our main meal & desert I brought in a birthday cake which a member of staff kindly cut up for us and presented a piece with a lighted candle on it while leading the happy birthday singing. They really did go the extra mile. Our room was excellent and so was our breakfast the following morning. Service: 5

Stayed for 3 nights for work. Rooms are great and clean. The pub and restaurant are lovely. Food is great. Staff are great. Hopefully I work in that area again. It won’t disappoint. Service: 5

This is one of those slightly out of the way places that are complete gems. We stayed overnight and everything about the Talbot was A class. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was amazing - possibly the best pate I have had and the scrambled eggs with salmon at breakfast was a real treat. The room was a lovely size, clean, comfortable and welcoming. It's not a place we could return to regularly but if we are ever in the area again it is top of our list. Service: 5
