I visited the Tara Inn with three friends. Three of us were drinking while the fourth acted as our designated driver. Our designated driver was initially told he could not bring his Starbucks drink into the venue, although they ultimately decided to allow him after I complained about the policy. It seems they expected him to throw it out or drink it outside while the rest of us sat inside. Designated drivers provide your patrons, who are potentially going to spend hundreds of dollars, a safe way to get to and from your venue so I don't understand why you would choose to make their experience a difficult one.

We were in Cliffside last Thursday night and had never been to The Tara Inn before. So I said to my wife let's give it a try. It wasn't busy maybe 4 -5 tables. Ribs were on Special on Thursdays so I figured they should be great. Ordered the ½ rack with Fries and Cole slaw. My wife ordered the Cajun wings which our server recommended. The ribs came out and they fell off the bone but they were really dry. So I asked for some extra BBQ sauce. That didn't help. They were the worst ribs I had ever tried. Tasted like they were either leftovers or taken out of a package and heated up in an air frier. Definitely not home made. My wife's wings had the opposite problem and were under cooked. We refused to eat them and asked for the manager. While waiting I had asked the table behind how their ribs were because they'd ordered also and they replied they were awful as well. After the manager took our food off the bill we paid for my wife's glass of wine and left. I felt bad for our server. But the table behind me was also complaining about the ribs to the manager as we walked out. IMHO this is a "Kitchen Nightmares" kind of place. I don't expect they will be there much longer with this kind of food. I would be leary to see the kitchen. I could cook there food better. We will not be going back.
