Just bought a small portion of chips and a chicken tandoori wrap. Was absolutely awful. The chips were cold and the chicken was hard. Extremely bad service has to throw the food away. Definitely don’t recommend this place. I went on lunch time and the food was not fresh at all had to throw it away. Price per person: £1–10 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

After being tired of the quality of food at local chippys we decided to give this chip shop a try. WOW... we were definitely not disappointed!!! I had a large fish with a small battered chips. The chips were absolutely lovely, fresh, crispy coating with a delicious fluffy centre. The fish was cooked fresh & I certainly didn't mind waiting a few mins. the quality was absolutely first class, crispy batter (not greasy) with succulent and taste packed fish. The service was wonderful, it seems to be rare these days to see people taking a pride in the service they provide together with top quality food. Many congratulations to The Tasty Plaice, we will definitely be back, we've finally found our favourite chippy!!!
