We popped into ASK Italian at Queen Arcade for a casual weekend dinner, and it delivered exactly what you would hope for from a dependable, high-street Italian chain. The location is incredibly convenient, tucked away just right for a quick bite before heading to a show at the nearby theatres or as a relaxing pit-stop after a long day of shopping in Liverpool city centre. The atmosphere inside is bright, clean, and modern. They’ve done a lovely job with the contemporary decor, making the dining space feel stylish and welcoming rather than generic. It has a vibrant, bustling energy that works just as well for a family meal as it does for a relaxed catch-up with friends, all without being so loud that you can't comfortably chat. Food-wise, everything was cooked well and nicely presented. We kicked things off with the rosemary and sea salt bread, which arrived warm and perfectly seasoned. For the mains, the pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente, and the stone-baked pizzas had a beautifully thin, crisp base with a good balance of toppings. It’s classic, crowd-pleasing comfort food. While it might not compete with a high-end, independent artisan trattoria, it is consistently tasty, satisfying, and hits the brief perfectly for a mid-range meal. The service was a standout highlight—the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked through the door. Even as the dining room filled up, our waiter remained attentive, and the food arrived with very reasonable waiting times. Overall, it’s a very solid four-star experience that offers fair value for money, especially if you keep an eye out for their set menu deals. It's a reliable, stress-free spot that we'll definitely keep in rotation for casual city dining. Price per person: £20–30

Had a great evening celebrating our Anniversary. John our server was fantastic. He helped make the night with his friendly and witty personality. As some one with allergies he was very thoughtful and double checked my ored and tried to help find me a desert but we settled on cocktails. Will definitely be back.
